Wiggins is the archetype every contender wants and few unearth in the second round: Oklahoma City took him 55th in 2021 out of Maryland, and he turned a two-way deal into rotation minutes on a title team. He earned a ring in 2025 when the Thunder won Game 7 of the Finals, a run built on exactly the low-mistake, connective wing play he provides — spot-up shooting, opportunistic cutting, and switchable defense that rarely costs a possession. A five-year extension in 2024 rewarded that reliability. In July 2026 the Thunder dealt him to Atlanta for second-round picks, largely a luxury-tax move for OKC that hands the Hawks a proven complementary piece. His shooting can run hot and cold, so his nightly value tends to track how well the three is falling.
