Bona's basketball path runs from Lagos to Turkey — where he moved at 13 — to UCLA, where his motor and near 7-foot-4 wingspan made him the 2024 Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. Philadelphia grabbed him 41st that June, and the second-rounder has already reached a role most late picks never do. Across 71 games in 2025-26 (18 starts) he averaged 4.8 points and 4.3 rebounds on a tidy 59.5% from the field, but the box score undersells him: his 3.2 blocks per 100 possessions ranked ninth leaguewide, and he finishes almost everything at the rim as a vertical lob and putback threat. He's undersized for a center and still fights foul trouble, yet that rim-protection floor kept him in Philadelphia's rotation all season.
