Bobby Portis

Portis has played eleven seasons for four franchises, averaging 12.1 points and 7.1 rebounds across 721 games, and won a championship with Milwaukee in 2021. He spent six seasons and 406 games there, long enough to become genuinely identified with the city, before July 2026 sent him to Miami alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo in the trade that reshaped both rosters. He is a specific and valuable thing: a big man who will take — and make — the shot nobody else on the second unit wants, and who rebounds hard enough to justify the volume. Second units are usually where offence goes to stall, and he is the reason Milwaukee's did not for most of six years.
