Chris Cenac Jr. emerged from New Orleans as a five-star recruit at Link Academy and reclassified into the 2025 class to join Houston. In his lone freshman season he started 36 of 37 games, averaging 9.5 points and 7.9 rebounds while becoming the first Cougars freshman to lead the team in rebounding since 2011-12. A mobile big listed at 6'10" with a 7'5" wingspan, Cenac runs the floor, switches onto the perimeter and rebounds outside his area; he flashed a 33% three-point stroke on low volume. His offense remains raw, with footwork, post polish and decision-making still to refine, and his frame invites added strength. Boston selected him 27th overall and held the pick, adding a long-term developmental center with two-way upside to a veteran roster where he can grow without immediate pressure.
