Derrick White

White blocked 98 shots in 2025-26 — the most by a guard in seventeen seasons, since Dwyane Wade's 106 in 2008-09 — while setting career bests of 16.5 points, 5.4 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.1 steals. He also won the Sportsmanship Award that year. Acquired from San Antonio midway through 2021-22, he won a championship with Boston in 2024, took All-Defensive Second Team honours in both 2023 and 2024, and added Olympic gold in Paris. His career line reads 13.4 points and 4.3 assists on 36.0 percent from three. Almost nothing he does well shows up first in a box score, which is why he spent years being described as underrated and now simply gets described as good.
