Enrique Freeman's basketball story starts with a walk-on tryout. He earned a spot at Akron, then turned himself into the best rebounder in college basketball — leading the nation on the glass and winning MAC Player of the Year in 2024 before Indiana took him 50th overall. He's a motor big whose game travels: he defends, he rebounds outside his area, and he does the connective work that doesn't headline a box score. After a rookie year split between the Pacers and their G League team, Freeman signed a two-way with Minnesota in the summer of 2025, joining the Timberwolves as frontcourt depth and an Iowa Wolves anchor. His path is the two-way grind, but few players compete harder for a roster spot, and effort like his tends to earn a longer look.
