Isaiah Collier

Collier came to Utah as the 29th pick in 2024 after a bumpy one-and-done at USC, and he's quietly turned into one of the better young playmakers in his class. As a rookie he broke John Stockton's franchise record for assists by a Jazz rookie, heady company, yet was left off both All-Rookie teams, a snub that says more about the voters than his passing. The sophomore jump was real: 11.7 points and 7.2 assists a night in 2025-26, eighth in the entire NBA in assists per game. The catch, and it's the whole scouting report, is the jumper. Defenses still sag off him and dare him to shoot, which shrinks the driving lanes his downhill game depends on. Fix the outside shot and Utah has a lead guard; until then he's a gifted table-setter playing uphill against defenses that won't respect his range.
