Detroit's young anchor in the middle, and in 2025-26 he stopped being a prospect and became a problem for opponents. Duren came out of Memphis as a one-and-done, drafted 13th in 2022 and routed to the Pistons on draft night. Built like a throwback five, he made his name early as a lob threat and glass-cleaner. Last season the rest of his game caught up: 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds a night, a first All-Star nod, and a spot on the All-NBA Third Team. The leap wasn't just volume, he tightened his screening, finished more efficiently as a roll man, and rebounded at a rate that fuels Detroit's transition offense. Entering restricted free agency with a big extension on the table, he's the frontcourt piece the Pistons intend to build around.
