What's underrated is how his role shifted after he left the Hawks: the Utah and Clippers years reshaped him from a featured option into an efficient, low-mistake connector. In 2025-26 he averaged 13.6 points for the Clippers while posting a career-best clip from three (around 40%) on lower volume — a player who traded usage for fit. That efficiency earned him a three-year deal to join Detroit this offseason, where he's expected to step into a starting power-forward role next to a young core.
