Love reshaped what a power forward could be. Before stretch bigs were standard, he paired old-school rebounding with a picture-perfect jumper and outlet passes that started fast breaks the length of the floor. A five-time All-Star and the 2011 Most Improved Player, he led the league in rebounding that year and won the 2012 three-point contest. His signature trait was sacrifice: he traded gaudy Minnesota numbers for a complementary role in Cleveland and delivered on it, most memorably with the championship-sealing stop in Game 7 of the 2016 Finals. He also owns an Olympic gold from 2012. Traded to Utah in 2025, he became a respected veteran voice and backup big on a rebuilding roster, now as known for his mental-health advocacy as for his shooting.
