Sanders is the 2025 draft's quiet win. The 50th pick, New York's selection routed to the Clippers on draft night, he was supposed to be a two-way flier and instead played his way into the rotation. As a rookie he appeared in 68 games with 16 starts and shot 40.8% from three, the number that turned heads: a 6-foot-8 guard who can space the floor and move the ball is a plug-and-play archetype. The Clippers noticed, promoting him to a standard contract in February and then handing him a four-year deal in the summer.
