Max Christie

A knock-down 3-and-D wing who arrived in Dallas as a footnote to the 2025 Luka Doncic-Anthony Davis blockbuster and turned into one of its quieter wins. Drafted 35th out of Michigan State in 2022, Christie spent his early years as a Lakers development project before the trade finally handed him a real runway. In 2025-26 he answered it: a career-high 12.3 points a night on 40.4% from three across 77 games, 68 of them starts. What makes him useful isn't shot creation, it's that he defends multiple perimeter spots, spaces the floor without needing plays run for him, and holds up in playoff-style matchups. On a four-year deal, he's exactly the low-maintenance wing contenders covet.
