Terrence Shannon Jr.

Minnesota grabbed Terrence Shannon Jr. at No. 27 in 2024 after a decorated Illinois career where he finished among the nation's top scorers. He's a big, explosive wing whose game is built on downhill pressure — attacking closeouts, running the floor, and getting to the line rather than settling. His counting numbers stayed modest in 2025-26 (about 5.6 points across 43 regular-season games in a crowded Timberwolves rotation), but the more telling detail is the shooting: he knocked down roughly 41% from three in his minutes, quieting the biggest question from his pre-draft profile. That efficiency earned him trust when it mattered — he raised his scoring to double figures in the playoffs as Minnesota pushed to the Western Conference semifinals before falling to San Antonio. The role is still growing, but the two-way tools are real.
