Trevor Keels arrived with pedigree — a physical downhill guard out of Duke who earned ACC All-Rookie honors and went 42nd overall to the Knicks in 2022. The NBA minutes never followed. He logged just a handful of games with New York, then spent years in the G League with Westchester and Iowa before landing in Sioux Falls in 2025. That's where his story turned: he reshaped himself into a genuine shooting threat, averaging north of 20 points a game and dropping 46 on a perfect 12-of-12 from three in January, a G League record. Miami rewarded the run with a two-way contract in February, and he appeared in a handful of NBA games down the stretch. Keels is still fighting for a foothold, but the shooting leap gave a stalled career a real second act.
