Alondes Williams

Alondes Williams was one of college basketball's best players in 2021-22, a big, downhill lead guard who won ACC Player of the Year at Wake Forest on an 18-6-5 line. The NBA has been harder to hold onto. Undrafted in 2022, he landed a two-way with Brooklyn but played a single game before being waived, then settled into the G-League grind. He rebuilt his stock with the Capital City Go-Go this past season — better than 20 a night on improved outside shooting — and parlayed it into a 10-day with Washington, where he dropped 25 points and 10 rebounds in his 11th NBA game. That's the story of his profile: the size, burst and passing at 6-foot-5 were never the question; the jumper was, and a more reliable three is what's finally turning G-League production into NBA looks. He remains on the roster fringe, but the trajectory points the right way.
