For six-plus seasons Coby White grew up in public with the Bulls, and the arc is the interesting part: he arrived in 2019 as a North Carolina combo guard whose game ran on pure speed and shot-hunting, then slowly folded in the connective passing that let Chicago hand him the keys. The 2023-24 leap — pushing near 20 a night while sliding between both guard spots — was less a hot streak than a rebuild of his feel for pace. Charlotte acquired him at the 2026 deadline and made him a priority to re-sign that summer to steer its backcourt. He's a downhill scorer most dangerous in transition, and his catch-and-shoot volume masks how much of his value now comes from tempo control.
