Dailyn Swain

A Columbus, Ohio native, Swain spent two developmental seasons at Xavier, earning Big East All-Freshman honors before growing into a larger role, then transferred to Texas for 2025-26. As a junior he averaged 17.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists on 54/35/81 shooting splits, earning SEC Newcomer of the Year and Second-team All-SEC honors. At 6'8" with long arms, he profiles as a two-way wing who defends multiple positions, attacks in transition, finishes at the rim and creates for teammates; a still-developing, streaky perimeter jumper and inconsistent half-court shot creation are the questions that placed him in the middle of the first round. Chicago selected him 15th overall, projecting him as a connective, defensive-minded wing who can guard up and down the lineup while his outside shooting continues to mature.
