Dorian Finney-Smith is a rugged 3-and-D forward whose defense and corner shooting made him a valuable role player on winning teams. Undrafted out of Florida in 2016, he became a key starter for the Dallas Mavericks — including their 2022 Western Conference Finals run — before stints with Brooklyn and the Los Angeles Lakers. He signed with the Houston Rockets for 2025-26, where an ankle injury and a down year limited his impact before a 2026 trade to Charlotte. At his best, Finney-Smith is exactly the versatile, tough-minded wing defender and catch-and-shoot threat that contenders prize.
