Allen led the entire league from three at 46.1 percent in 2023-24 and twice tied the Phoenix franchise record of nine made threes in a game. He is a 40.5 percent career shooter from distance, which is the number that has kept him employed through a reputation that arrived before he did. His 2025-26 was a step back — 16.5 points and 3.8 assists across 51 games, but on 40.3 percent from the field and 34.9 percent from three. Phoenix then sent him to Charlotte with Royce O'Neale and a 2033 first-round pick in the deal that brought back Miles Bridges.
