Isaiah Crawford's college story is one of resilience — two ACL tears to the same knee at Louisiana Tech, yet he came back to sweep Conference USA's Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2024, averaging 16.3 points and 6.2 rebounds. That two-way skill set — a 6'6" wing who defends and, increasingly, shoots — is what has kept him in the league. Undrafted in 2024, he signed a two-way with Sacramento, then joined Houston on another two-way in July 2025. The tell is in the G League numbers: with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers he shot better than 44% from three on real volume, the kind of development that turns a defensive specialist into a genuine 3-and-D prospect. His NBA minutes are still limited, but the G League reps are where that case actually gets built.
