Jaquez made the All-Rookie First Team in 2023-24 and finished fourth in Rookie of the Year voting, averaging 11.9 points with a game that looked twenty years out of date in the best way — pivots, footwork, angles, almost nothing above the rim. His 2025-26 was a career year across the board: 15.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists on 50.7 percent shooting over 75 games. Miami then sent him to Milwaukee as part of the package for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Being included in the package for a player of that standing is its own kind of compliment. Milwaukee acquired a 25-year-old coming off career highs in points, rebounds and assists simultaneously.
