Jalen Green

Green went second overall in 2021 and has averaged 19.9 points across his career on 42.2 percent shooting, with 33.9 percent from three — volume scoring that has never quite converted into efficiency. He spent four seasons in Houston before joining Phoenix in 2025, then lost most of 2025-26 to injury, appearing in 32 games at 17.8 points and 2.2 threes in 25.9 minutes. The athletic ceiling has never been the issue and the shot selection always has been. He is still only in his mid-twenties, which is the case for patience; the field-goal percentage is the case against it. Phoenix acquired him betting the first argument wins.
