Brown spent his first two-plus seasons as a name at the end of the Clippers' bench — the 30th and final pick of the 2023 first round out of Missouri, buried behind a veteran rotation and averaging under nine minutes a night. The February 2026 trade to Indiana, where he arrived alongside Ivica Zubac, rewrote the story. Handed actual minutes in a movement-heavy offense, the stocky point-forward posted 9.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and two assists on better than 50 percent shooting across 27 games. What travels is the passing: he reads the floor from the four spot like a guard, and pairing that vision with a respectable three-point stroke is exactly the connective skill Indiana's system rewards. Opportunity, not reinvention, turned out to be the missing piece.
