Liam McNeeley

Charlotte grabbed McNeeley with the 29th pick in 2025, snapping up a UConn one-and-done wing whose calling card is his stroke. The rookie year was a patience game — a crowded, oft-injured Hornets rotation held him to 11.9 minutes across 31 games (4.3 points, 2.4 boards), but the shooting translated immediately: 40% from three and 82% at the line. The number that matters more sits in the G League, where Greensboro handed him the keys and he answered with 19.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists a night on the way to the Finals. That usage hints at something past the catch-and-shoot label — footwork off movement, a live handle, and the confidence to create. For a shooting wing, the floor is already NBA-useful; the swing skill is proving he's more than a spot-up specialist.
