Cryer's game is a study in shot-making under the brightest lights. He won a national title as a Baylor freshman in 2021, then became a lead scorer at Houston, earning first-team All-Big 12 and third-team All-American honors in 2025 for a program built on defense — proof his offense traveled. Undrafted in 2025, he signed a two-way deal with Golden State in December and promptly lit up the G League, where a seven-game Santa Cruz stretch produced 24.3 points a night and a league-leading 36 threes at 41.4%. The read on him is straightforward: elite off-ball movement and a quick, repeatable release. The NBA question is size — at 6'1" he has to prove he can hold up defensively to keep that shooting on the floor.
