Mark Williams

Mark Williams is a seven-foot center whose game is elegantly simple: catch lobs, protect the rim, and clean the glass. Charlotte took him 15th out of Duke in 2022, and when healthy he posts the kind of per-minute rebounding and rim-protection numbers teams covet, averaging roughly a 15-and-10 in 2024-25. The catch has always been availability. He has spent long stretches sidelined, and a February 2025 trade to the Lakers was famously voided after he failed his physical, sending him back to Charlotte. The Hornets moved him again that summer to Phoenix, where the Suns needed interior size, and he answered by re-signing on a three-year deal in 2026. His value rides on one straightforward bet: if he stays on the floor, he is a starting-caliber anchor.
