Oso Ighodaro

Ighodaro is the kind of big who makes a lineup run smoother without demanding the ball. A Mesa, Arizona native, he got a genuine homecoming when Phoenix acquired his draft rights (40th, 2024) on draft night. His calling card traces back to Marquette, where Shaka Smart drilled his passing and handle until he became a connective hub at center — a skill set that scales cleanly to a pro rotation. Year two was a real jump: he played all 82 games, started two dozen, and shot 65% from the floor by finishing what teammates created. The telling number isn't points — it's that his short-roll passing and efficiency earned him four playoff starts, where he averaged a quiet seven and seven. He's a role player who clearly understands the assignment.
