Taelon Peter's path is one of the more unlikely in the 2025 class: six games at Tennessee Tech, three years at Division II Arkansas Tech, then a single breakout season at Liberty that put him on NBA radars. In that lone Conference USA campaign he averaged 13.7 points, won Sixth Man of the Year and, tellingly, led the nation in true shooting at 72.4%. That is elite scoring efficiency for a combo guard who also won a high-jump state title in high school, hinting at the bounce behind the numbers. The Pacers spent the 54th pick on him and signed him to a two-way deal with the Noblesville Boom. His rookie year was a real audition: 38 games, 4.5 points in about 13 minutes a night, with the jumper still finding its NBA footing (32.8% from three). The efficiency profile is the reason to keep watching, and it hasn't fully carried yet.
