A Puerto Rico-born forward raised in Pennsauken, New Jersey, Lendeborg took an unusual route to the NBA. He starred at Arizona Western College, leaving as the NJCAA's all-time leading rebounder, then spent two seasons at UAB, earning back-to-back AAC Defensive Player of the Year honors. Transferring to Michigan for 2025-26, he led the Wolverines in scoring near 15.6 points per game while rebounding at a high level and improving to roughly 37% from three, capping the year as Big Ten Player of the Year, a consensus first-team All-American and a national champion. A 6'9" combo forward with a long wingspan, he rebounds in traffic, defends multiple positions and passes well for his size; his half-court shot creation and consistency behind the arc remain questions. Golden State selected him 11th overall, projecting him as a versatile connective forward who defends and moves the ball within Steve Kerr's system.
