Lo Sapevi?
Hardaway's crossover dribble — the UTEP Two-Step — was so effective that it was declared illegal by the NBA in 1998, with the league instructing referees to call it an illegal dribble. The rule was reversed after widespread backlash.
His son Tim Hardaway Jr. became a professional NBA player, making them one of a small number of father-son pairs who both played at the All-Star level in NBA history.
He grew up in Chicago's West Side and credits the city's hardcourt culture with developing the toughness and creativity that defined his playing style.
His partnership with Alonzo Mourning in Miami in the late 1990s produced one of the most competitive Eastern Conference duos of that era — a backcourt-frontcourt combination that gave every opponent a legitimate challenge.
