David Roddy

Roddy grew up in Aurora, Colorado — part of the Denver metro area — giving him a home-state connection to basketball that culminated in a successful college career at Colorado State in Fort Collins.

His 19/7/3 statistical line in his final college season was one of the most well-rounded performances by any forward in the Mountain West Conference's history, placing him in company with some of the program's all-time great players.

Roddy's physical strength is one of his most distinctive NBA traits — at 255 pounds for a 6'6" forward, he can physically overpower guards and match up against bigger forwards without sacrificing quickness.

He was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies, one of the NBA's most physically demanding systems under Taylor Jenkins, giving Roddy an ideal developmental environment that emphasized toughness and versatility.
