Zubac was born in Mostar during the Bosnian War and raised in Croatia, carrying both Bosnian and Croatian heritage throughout a basketball career that took him from European academies to the NBA.
His 60%+ career field goal percentage places him consistently in the top 5 among all centers league-wide — a reflection of only taking smart shots that fit his skill set.
Zubac has played the majority of his NBA career in one city — Los Angeles — first with the Lakers and then the Clippers, giving him an unusual cross-town perspective on LA basketball.
He set a then-Clippers franchise record with 25 rebounds in a single game in 2021, demonstrating elite rebounding instincts that his statistics do not fully capture.
