Luguentz Dort is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Arizona State Sun Devils. Dort joined the Thunder as an undrafted free agent in July 2019 and is the longest tenured player on the team. Highly regarded for his defense, Dort is nicknamed "the Dorture Chamber" and was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in 2025, later winning the NBA Finals that same year.

Dort went undrafted in 2019 despite being considered by many scouts as one of the best defenders in his draft class — he was in the NBA rotation within months of signing a two-way deal with OKC.
He grew up in Montreal, Quebec, making him part of the remarkable generation of Canadian-born NBA players — alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jamal Murray — who have reshaped the league's talent landscape.
Dort's wingspan is significantly longer than his listed 6'3" height, giving him the physical tools to contest shots and disrupt passing lanes against players considerably taller and longer than himself.
In the 2021 NBA Playoffs, Dort held James Harden — then one of the NBA's most unstoppable offensive forces — well below his season scoring average across multiple games, establishing his reputation as a true shutdown defender.
