P.J. Washington

Washington played at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas — one of the most elite prep programs in the country, which has produced multiple NBA players including Shabazz Muhammad and Chase Jeter.

As a Kentucky sophomore, Washington averaged 14.6 points and 7.5 rebounds while leading the Wildcats to the Final Four, cementing his first-round draft status.

Washington's versatility to guard positions 2 through 5 makes him one of the most switchable forwards in the Mavericks' system — a key reason the team pursued him at the trade deadline.
