Andre Miller

Andre Miller built a 17-year career on a rare kind of durability, playing 1,304 regular-season games from 1999 to 2016 and missing only a handful to injury the entire way. Drafted eighth by Cleveland, the pass-first point guard led the NBA in assists per game in 2001-02 and retired ranking among the top dozen in league history in total assists. What set him apart was how little he leaned on athleticism: he rarely dunked, never hurried, and controlled tempo instead with old-school post-ups, patient reads, and a change-of-pace floater. He stayed a productive starter and mentor into his late thirties across nine franchises, and remains the only player with 16,000-plus points, 8,000-plus assists, and 1,500-plus steals never named an All-Star.
