Curtis Jones took the developmental path into the league. Undrafted in 2025 after a decorated senior year at Iowa State — where he was Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year and a first-team All-Big 12 pick, a rare double in the same season — he signed a two-way contract with Denver. A shooting guard with genuine range, he knocked down 88 threes as a senior and impressed at 2025 Summer League. His rookie 2025-26 was mostly developmental: a few brief NBA appearances (debut in late November against Phoenix) with the bulk of his reps in the G League for the Grand Rapids Gold, where he posted strong scoring and playmaking numbers. As a two-way rookie his NBA sample is tiny, so his profile is projection rather than production. The read: the shot clearly travels; whether the rest of his game earns a standard deal is the open question.
