Cameron Boozer

The son of two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer and the twin of Duke teammate Cayden, Cameron arrived in Durham after four straight state titles at Miami's Christopher Columbus High. He delivered a decorated freshman year, averaging 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists while shooting 55.6% from the field, and was named Associated Press National Player of the Year—only the fifth freshman to earn it—plus ACC Player of the Year and a unanimous first-team All-American. A 6'9" interior force, he rebounds in traffic, passes fluidly from the elbow, and posted 22 double-doubles; his perimeter jumper and vertical pop against NBA length remain the swing traits. A facial fracture suffered on an elbow ended his tournament in Duke's Elite Eight loss to UConn. Memphis drafted him third overall to headline its frontcourt.
