Roddy is one of the NBA's more distinctive bodies — a 6-foot-5, 250-pound point-forward built more like a running back, drafted 23rd in 2022 after a Mountain West Player of the Year run at Colorado State. His pro path has been a grind. Following stops with Memphis, Phoenix and Atlanta, he was waived by Toronto in October 2025 before Denver signed him to a two-way deal in March 2026. He played just five games for the Nuggets down the stretch but flashed the scoring punch that made him a first-rounder, including a 21-point night against Oklahoma City. His skill set is intriguing — he can bully smaller wings, pass, and step out for threes — yet inconsistency and defensive fit have kept him on the roster margins. His 19/7/3 statistical line in his final college season was one of the most well-rounded performances by any forward in the Mountain West Conference's history, placing him in company with some of the program's all-time great players.
