De'Andre Hunter is a big, strong two-way forward and a proven scorer who can defend multiple positions. The fourth overall pick in 2019 out of Virginia — where he starred on the 2019 national championship team — he spent his early career with the Atlanta Hawks before moves to Cleveland and, in February 2026, the Sacramento Kings. In 2025-26 he averaged 13.7 points and shot well from three before a detached-retina surgery ended his season after just two games in Sacramento. At 6-foot-8 with the frame to guard wings and forwards, Hunter offers the kind of physical, three-level scoring that fits any lineup.

Did You Know?
Hunter won an NCAA Championship with Virginia in 2019 — the program's first ever — and his defensive contributions were central to the run through March Madness.
He was drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans and immediately traded to Atlanta on draft night — a move that launched a six-year Hawks tenure.
His defensive IQ traces directly to Tony Bennett's Pack-Line defense at Virginia, one of the most demanding defensive systems in college basketball.
Hunter's late-career trade to Sacramento reunites him with a veteran core where his defensive specialization gives Doug Christie a key rotational piece.
