Over two seasons he grew into a fluid two-way wing, averaging 11.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks in 2025-26 and posting a career-high 32 points in January. His game leans on transition play, cutting, and active team defense across multiple positions, though his outside jumper and frame remain works in progress against NBA physicality. Detroit selected him 21st overall on June 23, 2026, then traded his rights to Memphis, making him the first Mexico-born first-round pick in league history. In Memphis he projects as a developmental combo forward whose length, motor, and feel fit a wing-depth role.
