George's second year was the breakout, cut painfully short. The 24th pick in 2024 out of Miami, the Swiss-Canadian wing turned into a genuine building block for a rebuilding Washington team, making 48 starts and averaging 14.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists. That assist number is the tell: at 6-foot-8 he initiates offense and reads the floor like a guard, a rare combination for a wing his age. His ceiling flashed in a 34-point, 11-rebound night against Dallas. The season ended early, though — a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow, diagnosed in March 2026, sidelined him for the rest of the year. Health and shot consistency are the questions; the playmaking and size are not.
