Leonard Miller took the road less traveled — a Canadian forward who skipped college for the G League Ignite before Minnesota acquired his draft rights (33rd, 2023). For two-plus seasons the 6-foot-10 athlete sat behind a crowded Timberwolves frontcourt, logging just 19 games and 2.3 points in 2025-26. The February 2026 trade to Chicago changed his trajectory. Freed into real minutes, Miller averaged 11.7 points and 5.8 rebounds on 55.5% shooting across 27 games — the kind of efficient, energetic production suggesting the runway, not the ability, had been the missing piece.
