Micah Peavy

Peavy's value shows up in the parts of the game that don't always make the box score. A well-traveled college wing — Texas Tech, then TCU, then a final year at Georgetown — he was the 40th pick in 2025, drafted by Washington and flipped to New Orleans before the summer was out. As a rookie he carved out a real bench role built on defense: long and competitive, he was often handed the assignment of guarding the opponent's best perimeter scorer, unusual trust for a second-rounder. The offense is still catching up — 4.3 points on 38.5% shooting across 61 games — but there were glimpses, including a 17-point, 4-steal night against Detroit. The template is a 3-and-D wing; whether the three-point shot rounds into form will decide how high that ceiling climbs.
