Nic Claxton is one of the NBA's most switchable defensive big men — a springy, mobile center who protects the rim and finishes lobs with equal ease. A second-round pick out of Georgia in 2019, he developed into a starting-caliber rim protector for the Brooklyn Nets, averaging 11.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and better than a block a game on 57% shooting in 2024-25. A July 2025 trade sent him to the Chicago Bulls to be their center of the future. Claxton's blend of length, agility and vertical finishing — he scores almost entirely at the rim on high efficiency — makes him a modern defensive hub who fits alongside any lineup.
