Achiuwa was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and spent one season at Memphis, where he averaged 15.8 points and 10.8 rebounds and was both the AAC Player of the Year and its Freshman of the Year. Miami took him 20th in 2020, then sent him to Toronto a year later in the Kyle Lowry sign-and-trade. He was a Raptor for two-plus seasons and went to New York in the December 2023 OG Anunoby deal. After missing Miami's final roster in 2025, he joined Sacramento on a minimum deal that November and posted a career-high 10.1 points with 6.7 rebounds over 73 games, which earned him a two-year contract in July 2026. His value is energy and switchability; the shot remains the open question.
