Tristan Vukcevic

Vukcevic is the rare modern big who learned the game on European hardwood first, coming up through Real Madrid's system before winning an ABA League title with Partizan as a teenager. Washington drafted him 42nd in 2023 and brought him over in March 2024, and across three seasons he has steadily carved out a role as a floor-spacing forward-center. The appeal is obvious: a legitimate seven-footer with soft touch and range who posted better than 60% true shooting in 2025-26 while averaging near nine points off the bench. The catch is the other end, where his foot speed and rim protection lag behind starting-center standards, which is why the three-year deal Washington signed in early 2026 reads as a bet on his shooting rather than a promise of a fixed rotation spot. His next test is holding up defensively.
