The Phoenix Suns, founded in 1968, have been one of the NBA's most consistently competitive franchises despite never winning a championship. The 1976 Finals against the Celtics produced one of the greatest games ever played — a triple-overtime Game 5. Charles Barkley's MVP season in 1993 led to a Finals appearance against the Bulls. Steve Nash's "Seven Seconds or Less" Suns (2004-2010) under coach Mike D'Antoni revolutionized offensive basketball with a pace-and-space style that became the template for the modern NBA. The 2021 team reached the Finals with Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton.
