Kadary Richmond

A Brooklyn native who took the long road — Syracuse, then Seton Hall, then a postgraduate year under Rick Pitino at St. John's — Richmond went undrafted in 2025 but landed with Washington, where his floor game finally got an NBA runway. He's a jumbo playmaking guard whose value shows up in the connective stuff: he rebounds his position, pushes in transition, and uses a 6-foot-6 frame to smother ballhandlers. His three-point jumper is still the swing skill that decides whether he sticks. When Washington handed him back-to-back 10-day deals in February, he answered with disruptive on-ball defense — averaging better than two-and-a-half steals a night — that hinted at a rotation future even a shaky shot can't fully erase.
