Minix is one of the rarer NBA stories: a player who reached the league through the NAIA ranks, twice earning All-American honors at Southeastern before a graduate move to Morehead State made him the 2024 Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year. Undrafted that summer, he signed a two-way deal with San Antonio, was waived in December 2025, then caught on with Cleveland in February 2026. His NBA minutes have been scarce, but the G League tells a fuller story — across the Austin Spurs and Cleveland Charge in 2025-26 he averaged 18.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists as a genuine offensive hub. The projection question is whether his size and shot-making hold up once NBA defenders and tighter rotations tighten the margins.
