The players who defined New York Knicks basketball. Icons who shaped the franchise and left a legacy that endures.
Numbers hanging in the rafters at Madison Square Garden. The players who gave everything to New York Knicks.
The New York Knicks are one of the NBA's most iconic franchises and a founding member of the Basketball Association of America in 1946. Playing at the legendary Madison Square Garden — "The Mecca of Basketball" — the Knicks captured championships in 1970 and 1973 with a roster featuring Willis Reed, Walt "Clyde" Frazier, and Bill Bradley. Patrick Ewing anchored the physical, defensive-minded teams of the 1990s that rivaled Michael Jordan's Bulls. Despite a championship drought stretching decades, the Knicks remain one of the most valuable and culturally significant franchises in all of professional sports. The franchise has seen a resurgence under Tom Thibodeau, with Jalen Brunson leading a competitive roster back to playoff contention.
